Marina, Lisette, Emily, Lucy and James hit the water in a flying start for GURC
A group of Griffith Uni Village North American ladies have defied the recent run of rain to get a crew together and have made a flying start to the year.
With Club sign on coming up on Wednesday the GURC is already boating 4 women with 4 men also sculling.
"Its great to see the GURC on its way to a mens and women's VIII even before the year has begun!" Emily Berry of Canada said.
With many of the Griffith Mens 8 of last year finishing up their surf boat commitments in the next few weeks along with a new cohort of beginners and experienced rowers to hopefully sign up Wednesday its looking like a the best year yet for this young club.
"There's a good vibe down the shed with this group!" Assistant coach James Mackie said.
