The season is hardly a week old and already a cosmopolitan group of Griffith ladies has come together to get the Griffith Women's VIII on the water.
"We have never had so many enthusiastic girls, its a great development for the traditionally blokey GURC." Assistant Coach Dave Houston said.

So far this year the program has held a sculling focus with some real natural talent being shown from beginners like Jane, Steph, Maddy, Sarah and Rhi.
Thanks to James Mackie for volunteering his time to help out teaching and coxing.

The Griffith Men are going great also with a ready-made gun lightweight double of Asher and Haakan Jakobson popping of of the woodwork.
"These guys are going to be very good. They seem to combine well for some reason." Dave Houston said.
Adding to the fun the girls and guys have been hitting up 500m sprints on the ergo's and recording the scores.
"Over the season we aim to get our times lower and lower as we become fitter and more ripped" said one of the girls who wished to remain anonymous.
